Jesus vs. the Pharisees

Images depicting Jesus and his many conflicts with the Pharisees and religious rulers. Jesus was most critical of the religious rulers of the day, because they imposed greater burdens on the people than God intended, and made the religion of the Jews hard to bear. His comments against these cold and legalistic rulers was harsh. He called them a generation of vipers. Jesus didn't always speak "in love." He could be deeply critical of those who opposed God's purposes.
